Brett has been a contractor for more than forty years. He talked with Van about the library a while ago and thought it was a great idea. As a business owner, he has the experience to get things moving and knows tools well.
Jonathan, along with Van and Brett, founded the committee to establish the Mundelein Tool Library. As a local real estate agent and Mundelein resident, Jonathan was eager to help bring this idea to life. Maintaining the integrity and increasing awareness of the organization through social media is of most importance. Jonathan assists with continued development of online presence to ensure relevant and up to date content. Jonathan identifies and collaborates with business and individual sponsorship opportunities to fund the organization.
Van first brought the idea of a Tool Library in Mundelein to the Village after visiting one in Portland, Oregon, thinking it was a great idea for the community. As others joined him on the committee, he quickly realized that he had a vision, but not the complete expertise to develop the tool library. Through the help of committee members and the support of the Village, he is seeing his idea come to fruition.
Roberta has collaborated with the founding committee to establish governance, processes, and procedures for the Mundelein Tool Library. She also designed the logo, banner, and marketing materials, along with having assisted in the research and implementation of software for fundraising efforts.
